Christmas In Philippines

No one celebrates Christmas better than the Filipinos. Christmas in the Philippines is known worldwide for being the longest-running celebration for Christmas in the entire world. The country is famously renowned for starting its celebration months before. The Philippines during Christmas converts itself into a wonderland, becoming one of the biggest tourist attractions around the world to celebrate their Christmas. One of the Christmas traditions in the Philippines has them start their Christmas preparations during September.

Called the “Ber Months”, Filipinos get their Christmas spirits on at the start of September, and the celebrations run till the first Sunday of January when they celebrate the Feast of the Three Kings and end the celebrations. The country’s citizens are mostly Christians, with more than 80% the Catholic, which makes Christmas the most important festival of the year in the whole country. With over three months of Christmas celebration in the Philippines and some amazing places to visit, you cannot get a better experience for the upcoming Christmas than here, in the Philippines.

It has been a hard year for everyone with Covid leaving many people sick or out of work in the Philippines.

The country also gets a lot of typhoons — same as a hurricane, but it’s in the Northwest Pacific — and they sometimes cause a lot of flooding and damage during the holidays.

Still, people find these challenges make celebrating Christmas this year especially important, as the season’s focus is being thankful, finding hope, spreading love, and being together with family.
