OPPORTUNITIES OF SHARING THE GOOD NEWS IN THE PHILIPPINES

It’s always wonderful for Mary Ann and me to have the opportunity to share the Word of God with groups of people within the villages each week. Such excitement runs throughout the place as we see the anticipation for the hearing of the teaching that brings both understanding of God’s love and a desire to build their relationship with Him.

One Saturday with a different group that day we had finished with the bible study and immediately one of the ladies came up to me and thank me for the teaching and also said look at my arms, can you see the chill bumps on my arms! She said as you were teaching I felt the power of the Holy Spirit going all over me. Wow! Praise God, for His divine presence through His Word!

We thank God for CIM Ministry with Pastor Mel and others for giving us the opportunity to share and help serve others. We have truly learned a lot by joining in with another ministry which has given us more understanding and experience through wisdom in effectively doing outreach here in the Philippines. Many things that we are doing are from hands-on training and this is a really big help in reaching the families that are in need. 

“We want to move people into genuine Christian communities of believers.” What does that look like? When people get together and discover God’s truth in His Word, there is a bond that forms. Not so much a bond of knowing things together, like in a classroom at school. But a bond is formed as the Holy Spirit moves in each person, applying truth to their lives. It goes beyond just bible study but it moves more into a shared experience that produces a healthy relationship among the community. It’s always great seeing lives transform to the order of God’s intended plan for our lives.
